The Eddon Boat Pier was reconstructed as Phase II through funding acquired through a 2008 Washington State Heritage Capital Projects Grant. The derelict creosote structure was removed as part of the EPA required clean-up. The new 14 foot wide pier was engineered for drive-aboard access and two sides of the float are reserved for bow-tied dinghies, kayaks, and small craft. Access is limited because of daily tides and shallow depths. The image below shows the pier in 2008 prior to its reconstruction. Finished pier and grand opening pictures follow. Under a red umbrella, Marty Hoppen (wife of Ed Hoppen of "Ed+Don" Boat) and her grandson make the ceremonious first walk down the pier.
